Lisa Mee

American, b. 1974

Lisa Mee, born in 1974 in New York City, is an Irish-Korean-American artist celebrated for vibrant mixed-media paintings that fuse recycled materials with expressive color. Educated at Fordham University, she honed her craft under the mentorship of her husband Wayne Ensrud, the sole living protégé of Expressionist master Oskar Kokoschka.

Her work transforms botanicals, landscapes and water reflections into luminous, mosaic-like compositions that evoke stained glass, using fabrics, papers and metallic paints. She has held over 20 solo and group exhibitions across the U.S. and Europe and appears regularly live in studio on The Fine Art Auction.
