The Fine Art Auction welcomes

Artist & Muralist Shane Goudreau to Appear Live on the Fine Art Auction December 14th and 15th, 2024

Shane Goudreau is a well known and highly Collected Canadian-born artist who started his professional career in early 2000 as a commercial muralist working with superstar clients Molson Canadian, Bacardi, Smirnoff, and the Canadian Armed Forces.

Goudreau’s ability to work on a large scale may very well have him as a Guinness record holder, as the largest interior mural for a project he completed in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, doubles the current record at nearly 20,000 square feet. It is considered one of the most important Murals in Canada.

Goudreau has traveled the globe creating murals in the USA Europe and the Dominican Republic, as well as making his second appearance at the prestigious Miami Art Fairs this past week. Goudreau intends to continue creating murals; he feels that it allows people….all people…the opportunity to enjoy and experience his art daily. This is what has made his art and process so very special to his Collectors and fans, many of which were in Miami this weekend to support the celebrated Artist.

Our Commitment to the Next Generation of Creators.

Goudreau’s style of work can be described as multimedia, depending on the project, primarily using airbrush and hand-painted acrylic. The contrast between the two mediums is significant, yet he has created a harmony when they are combined. His purely acrylic artwork and commissioned portraits emphasize detail, control, and patience, while the essence of his multi-technique textile work lies in broader strokes and monochromatic yet vibrant acid-etched color. For over two decades Goudreau has been refining these techniques and testing the boundaries of new materials to ensure that his work remains fresh and infused with a sense of wonder and fantasy.

Bio photo of Artist and Muralist Shane Goudreau

My greatest skill lies in mixing classic techniques such as trompe l’oeil, portraiture, and grayscale with the contemporary vibrance of street art and muralism, and this makes my work uniquely trans figurative, allowing the public to step inside new worlds and be dazzled with the fantasies of light, color, depth, and energy.

I have spent my career as a muralist using the language of the visual to impart my message to the public: that art can harnesses the transformative power of the image to create a more beautiful and fantastic world. So…this speaks directly to my ethos as an artist, which is the transporting of the viewer from the realities of the temporal world to the phantasms of the image”.
