Duaiv, a renowned and highly collected French artist was born in 1952 in Bordeaux, France, He thrived in an artistic environment: his mother was a classical pianist and his father a sculptor. He first picked up a paintbrush at age 3 and completed his first oil painting at age 9. The Artist studied the cello at the Conservatoire Nationale de Musique in Paris and attended the prestigious École des Beaux-Arts in Paris to study painting; sparking and fostering a serious pedigree in both of his lifelong passions: painting and music.

This dual classical training guided his journey, allowing him to become globally renowned as an exceptional expressionist painter. At the same time, his affinity for music blossomed, as he trained rigorously to become an accomplished concert cellist. His performances, both solo and ensemble, are marked by the same emotional intensity that define his paintings. In his hands, the cello becomes a brush, painting musical landscapes.
